![]() Much faster than Scrabble, and at times quite exciting. ![]() I was given this game as a Christmas present and thought it looked like a down market Scrabble but gave it a go. A word to the wise: if you're thinking about purchasing this product expecting a full set of 144 untainted tiles, think again. In our case, these are 'E' and 'G', undoubtably coveted letters of the 'bunch'. The element of the game that requires players to take three new tiles, should they choose to return one to the 'bunch', somewhat loses its panache when one knows which tiles are compromised. Stained tiles in a game of bananagrams is as much a crime, if not more, as bent playing cards in a game of high-stakes poker. Perhaps this wouldn't bother the more novice bananagrammers amongst us, however we just can't let this slide. However, during play, we were saddened to notice that two of the 144 tiles were marked with ink! (see photo attached). The case (shaped like a banana) was in great working order, clean as a whistle and the zip was sealed shut with a plastic tie so we knew NO-ONE had tampered with the banana. Upon primary inspection, we were satisfied with the product. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 April 2021
